Welcome to all new and returning players for our 2026 spring softball season. Our house program runs from early-April to late June (official dates TBD). When registration opens, you will be asked to click through to register.  There are some changes this year with registration, and you will have to first separately register, and pay fees to, Softball BC, after which you will be asked to sign into the Vancouver Fastpitch TeamSnap and register for the season.  Full details will be provided when registration opens. 

VFA wants every child to be able to participate in sports. If cost of participation is a financial burden, please check organizations such as Kidsport and Athletics4Kids for eligibility for subsidies.

Days and Times for Programming - Please refer to this page which discusses the days of the week, and times on those days, that programming runs for each age group.  (Note:  There may be small iterations to this for U7 through U11 depending on registration numbers and field permitting)

Teammate Requests - Before registering, discuss with your player(s) if they have any teammate requests. VFA forms house teams based on friend requests among other factors such as the school they attend and any previous teams they were on.

Refer-a-Friend Discount ($50) – Consistent with prior seasons, VFA is offering a $50 refundable discount to any returning player who refers a NEW player, born between 2018 (second year U7) and 2005 (U20). Players can refer up to two friends to get a total discount of $100. Refer-a-friend discounts will be processed and refunded closer to the beginning of the season.

Sibling Discount ($100 off Registration) - We are pleased to offer $100 off the registration fee if additional siblings are registered. (Limit of one per family.) Please register all players at the same time. Sibling discounts will be processed and refunded closer to the beginning of the season.

Refund Policy - Registration fees are subject to a $20 (non-refundable) administration fee. No refunds will be considered after April 15th without a medical letter.

Volunteers – VFA is a volunteer-run community club. Our greatest needs are in filling all Executive roles, which help ensure the club overall runs smoothly - a number of roles are available.  Currently, we are have needs in the areas of scheduling, communications, concessions, and other areas.  Please reach out to vfaoperations@gmail.com if you would like further information.  We love welcoming people into the community, and hope parents will continue to volunteer as a coach, team manager and otherwise this season.

In order to offset expenses associated with club operations, a $50 Volunteer Fee will appear at payment. Refund of this fee will be available for coaches, team managers, board and executive members, and families providing other approved volunteer support. Approved opportunities may include pre-season field cleanup, concessions, events such as photo day, and other activities. These volunteer opportunities will be communicated during the season.  Volunteer fee refunds will be processed near the end of the season for anyone eligible.

Registration Notes:

• For U7 & U9 Learn to Play (LTP) participants, at least one parent or designated adult is expected to attend EVERY session with their child. 
• House is our community or recreational softball program with a focus on playing with friends, fun, and softball skills development. Our Rep (competitive) teams were formed after tryouts in September 2025. If you were offered a spot on one of our competitive Wildcats teams, please contact your coach for a link to Rep Registration.
• The age group divisions are mandated by Softball Canada. Ages are by calendar year
